The London Olympic Park is a sporting complex that acted as the centrepoint of the London 2012 Olympic Games and London 2012 Paralympic Games.

 

In the center of the London Olympic Park is the London Olmypic Stadium which was first used in the 2012 London Olympics.  It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the athletics events, featuring such iconic moments as Mo Farrah, Usain Bolt and Jessica Ennis' all winning gold.

 

Since the end of London 2012, the park has been re-named the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, .

to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II
