Bar Italia

Bar Italia, 22 Frith Street, Soho, London W1D 4RT

020 7437 4520

Located in bustling Soho, Bar Italia is an authentic Italian cafe that has stood since 1949.

Famous for its wonderful Italian coffee, Bar Italia is particularly popular with late-night revellers looking to wind down. In addition to its celebrated beverages, Bar Italia serves up a range of authentic Italian cusine, such as their fantastic cannoli; while the produce is not cheap, it is a must for any London tourist that wishes to enjoy the true Soho experience.

Bar Italia acts as a main focal point for London’s Italian community; never is this better demonstrated than when the Italian national football team (‘The Azzurri’) play important World Cup or European Championship games.

On these occasions the cafe witnesses an invasion of Italians, who raucously cheer on their team, spilling onto the street outside.

Since 1995 Bar Italia has been one of the most popular London attractions with fans of indie music fans due to the seminal indie band Pulp who named the final song on their classic 1995 Different Class album after the cafe.

Jarvis Cocker and the rest of Pulp are not the only celebritys to visit Bar Italia â€“  pop star Kylie Minogue, legendary film director Francis Ford Coppola and music writer Paolo Hewitt have all been seen chilling inside.
